Patients First is foremost a Family Medicine Practice. Long term care for families is our specialty. Yearly physicals, school exams, sports physicals, well-baby care, and gynecology services (including pap smears) are available. Chronic problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and skin problems are also treated. Appointments may be made for treatment of any of these problems. Providers want patients to have the best possible medical care. There may be times when a referral is made to a specialist in a certain expertise. The choice of a particular specialist is usually dictated by the health plan of the patient. Many times the health plan requires that the patient receive care from the primary care physician if a particular service is offered. The providers and staff at Patients First always strive to provide a convenient, comfortable and compassionate atmosphere for all patients. To add even more convenience, Patients First offers urgent care hours as well.

Patients First offers urgent or "walk-in" care to family practice patients, out of town visitors, and occupational clientele. Patients who walk in during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays are usually seen promptly, however, patients with appointments do take precedence. Many family practice patients elect to walk-in for simple services such as, back to school physicals, flu shots and immunizations.

Many of the occupational walk-in patients, especially those requiring laboratory work only (i.e. drug screen, breath alcohol) are seen directly. Therefore, the walk-in availability, especially, in the evening and on weekends, is a definite advantage for these patients.
